Summer project

Grand Theft Auto

Grand theft auto is a video game on PlayStation and X box. This game was created by game programmers David Jones, Mike Dailly and the game designer Zachary Clarke. It is primarily developed by Rockstar North in the United Kingdom and published by Rockstar games. The name 'Grand Theft Auto' a term referring to 'motor vehicle theft'. The series has won multiple awards and is named as one of the most universally.

The price of Grand Theft Auto is £35 when averaged. That is a very appealing and interesting price. The reason being is because not all the games are that cheap. From the reputation Grand Theft Auto have with all the amazing games they have sold in the past, this makes them trust worthy.

The release date for Grand Theft Auto is always in the summer when kids do not have school. Grand Theft Auto is launched midnight so this causes suspense and excitement for customers.

The reviews of the game from customers is always positive. The customers are always pleased with the quality of the game and how much they have purchased it for.

Grand Theft Auto was marketed by bill boards, bus stops, adverts, social networking sites and internet. The most successful way of marketing for Grand Theft Auto was the internet and social networking sites. I think this is because most of Grand Theft Auto's customers are mostly teenagers who are regularly on the internet so it was easy for them to inform the customers. Grand Theft Auto have been critically successful having sold 125 million as of December 2012.

Key concepts homework

Language- The language on the advert is very informative and helpful to consumers. It tells them when the game is being launched . They also give a specific time 'Spring 2013'. Also, there is a age requirement at the bottom left of the game warning the under aged people that it is not suitable for them.

Institution- The institution of the game is Rockstar. They manipulated this poster with the intentions of securing pre release sales.

Audience- The audience that the game is aimed at is very clearly shown on the cover of the game. This game required a age rate of 18 because the language on the game is very strong and some scenes are inappropriate for under 18's.

Representation- The representation of this advert is very strong. The reason being is because the age limit is 18. The Rotweiler is represented in a very vicious and intimidating way. By showing his teeth this implies that the man is untouchable. The man looks very powerful as he has a bat in his hand. Also, his face looks very serious.
